New home for website - www.vhcougars.org
Today we made a change to the website that hosts our registrations and communications to the community. The change involved removing all references to the former VHCYAA organization and replacing it with a new domain named www.vhcougars.org. During this change our web site was unavailable for a couple of hours. We apologize to those of you that were attempting to access the site or register during this time. Please remove all bookmarks to the old vhcyaa.org domain. Our new website can now be found at www.vhcougars.org.

Friday May 6th Game Time 7:00 PM
VHCBS is very excited to announce that we have partnered with the Chicago White Sox to hold a VHCBS organization night to attend the Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins game on Friday May 6th at 7:00PM. Included in this opportunity is the ability for people to participate in a pre-game parade on the field before the game, see a spectacular post-game show firework show set to music, and the chance to see the VHCBS organization mentioned on the legendary Comiskey scoreboard. The timing of this event was chosen as this will be the opening weekend for the majority of the Community Baseball & Softball leagues which should make this a weekend your kids will not soon forget. This opportunity is currently going to be limited to the first 400 people that register to purchase tickets via an online registration that can be found by clicking on the following link:https://leagueathletics.com/Store/Item.asp?id=18196&n=101807&org=vhcyaa.org
(Note: If demand exceeds the 400 ticket allotment we will work with the Chicago White Sox to see what options exist to secure more tickets.)Tickets are located on the1st level in the outfield. The cost of the tickets are $22 per person and we will be accepting payment via credit cards or bank debit cards on the registration itself. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to the VHCBS. The registration is now open and will stay open through Sunday February 21st. The tickets will be delivered to us around April 1st and as the date draws closer we will schedule a time for folks to come and pick up their tickets.
We hope you can take advantage of this great opportunity. If you have any questions please send an email to

Account Set-up and Registration
For those of you that have registered for either a VHCBS or VH Sport Club sport in the past you can use the same account you used to register previously. For those of you that are registering for the first time you will need to create an account on our site. The process to create an account is a two-step process. To begin you will need to click on the Register button for the Baseball or Softball program for which you are registering. You will be directed to a page where you can click on the Create an Account. Here you need to enter an email address you have to access to and then click on the Create My Account button. The system will then send you an email with a link attached that you will need to click on to establish your password. Once you enter in the password you should be able to go back to the registration page and log-in to complete the registration process. If you run into any issues registering you can send an email to
and someone will respond to you as soon as they can to help you out. Please note to fill out all the questions. Specifically, please note that we are asking for your child’s uniform size in the event you will be unable to attend our uniform fitting day. (NOTE: Please continue reading for more details on uniform fitting below.) Also please note that we are asking if you are interested in coaching either as a head coach or an assistant coach. Please note that we have asked you to fill in the name of the spouse that is interested in
Coaching as well as their email address. We do this because we know sometimes the parent who is filling out the form is not the parent volunteering to coach.
As part of the registration process you are able to pay directly online. You can pay directly either via a credit card or using your bank’s debit card. If you would like to pay by check please make your check payable to VHCBS and mail them to 50 Lakeview Parkway Suite 106.
New for 2016 & Parent Meeting Tuesday
This year we have a couple of exciting changes we are implementing for the 2016. The first change has to deal with a couple of age group changes. This year we will having an all boy / girl league (Single A) at 6 years old that will be a Tee Ball / Coach pitch league. We also will be combining all 7 & 8 year old boys to play in the Double A league which will consist of part coach pitch / kid pitch. Further changes include additional games being scheduled as regular season games with the goal of accounting for some potential rainouts due to inclement weather. (NOTE: We will also block off some Sunday’s later in May and June to hold as rainout dates in the event we have too many rainouts early on in the schedule.) A parent meeting will be held on Tuesday January 19th at 7:30 PM at 50 Lakeview Parkway Suite 106 to cover these changes as well as answer any other questions parents may have.
As mentioned above we will be having a uniform fitting date where each parent will be able to come in and get their child sized for their uniform. In the event you are unable to attend we will order based on what has been entered in the registration system. We are working with our provider Sports 11 to determine when the fitting date will occur. We will send out further information once we have locked down the fitting date.
Skills evaluation will take place on Sunday March 6th and Sunday March 13th at the Vernon Hills High School Fieldhouse. Sunday March 6th is the primary date for baseball skill evaluations and Sunday March 13th is the primary date for softball evaluations. The skills evaluation will be as follows:
